The original 'Flora of Devon' was written in 1939 by W Keble Martin. A sister publication was written in 1984 entitled 'Atlas of the Devon Flora: Flowering Plants and Ferns and was written by B Ivimey-Cook. Roger Smith was asked to write an updated version that would incorporate both elements of this topic. Along with co-authors Bob Hogson and Jeremy Ison - plus a selection of expert contibutors, 'A New Devon Flora' was 12 years in the making and constitutes a seminal publication on the Flora of Devon, but also with far wider botanical applications. This book is published by The Devon Association
